DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Nungwi

Double Tree Resort is set at the northern tip of the spice island. You’ve direct access to the sandy beach and shady sunbeds where you can relax with ocean views that go on forever. From here you have easy access to Stone Town, Prisoner Island or Mnemba and Tumbatu Islands – relax or explore!

The resort has been built in a typical Zanzibari style with a makuti palm roof. All the facilities you would expect to find in a Hilton hotel are here; the freshwater outdoor pool edged with pleasant manicured lawns, a swim-up pool bar serving cold drinks and pizza, a fitness suite and spa.

Catering for your dietary needs is the Ngalawa restaurant where you can start your day with a delicious breakfast spread. The restaurant also serves lunch and themed dinners with live entertainment, dining is usually buffet style. For something a little different try the Fisherman’s Bar and Grill for some mouth-watering dishes combining international and local flavours, it’s popular with guests and locals alike. Enjoy your meal with panoramic ocean views.

Times to Go

DoubleTree Hilton Nungwi is open all year, though you may want to avoid the long rains which occur in April and May. The short rains in about November have much less impact. There is little variation in temperature year round, though September to April tend to the be the hottest months.
