Bougainvillea Safari Lodge
The lodge was created by two forward-thinking Tanzanians, a local farmer and a chef who cooks up a storm in the kitchen every day. The friendly staff, who all live in the local village ensure you are made to feel welcome and well looked after and their sense of pride is unmistakable.
The spacious garden cottages are spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the peaceful and laid-back atmosphere allows you to relax before heading off on your safari adventure.
Should you wish to sample the local culture there are all sorts of excursions that can be arranged by the staff. The neighbouring coffee plantation is well worth a visit and you can easily walk into town to see the local market and bustling African community.
Times to Go
You can easily spend a couple of days at Arumeru and during this time you can enjoy a trip into Arusha National Park which is only half an hour.
